The Taliban promised that ‘women are going to be very active in the society’
Claim: The group’s spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said in his first press conference in June 2021: “Women are going to be very active in the society, but within the framework of Islam.” Within those frameworks, they would be allowed to work and study.
